Driving Traffic to Your Website Using Articles

Articles, if done effectively and correctly, are a very powerful means of driving traffic to your website or blog. Traffic is a very important component of any successful website today. You can simply write an article related to the product or services that your website will be promoting and submit it to a few main article hosting sites such as Ezine Articles or Go Articles. These sites have huge viewership and if your article is good and stays within their stipulated guidelines then it will be published on their high traffic page. This is certainly a very good way to get promotion and yes you guessed it, it's free of cost in most cases. Be sure to include a link to your website on your article so that whoever reads or decides to use your article on their website knows the original owner of the article and gives you credit for it. Before long, once approved your articles possibly may show up in Google top searches giving your website a lot of promotion.

If you are reading this article right now it probably is because I have been successful in getting it highly ranked on Google or some other major search engines. So this is like a journal in that I am doing and learning as I am teaching. Many of you will probably get interested and visit the link posted on my article to learn more. You will probably, just as I did, purchase an e book relevant to what you want to learn. That is exactly how it works, and that is partly how you get traffic to your website using articles.

You don't have to be a professional to write articles. As long as it is informative and you chose your key words carefully for search engine optimization then it should be OK. Obviously it helps when you are writing on a topic that you are either very knowledgeable about or have a very keen interest in. There is a vast amount of information available online so it is not very difficult to research the area you are writing about if you want additional information.

Finally, make good use of the Author resource box as this is where you introduce yourself to the world. You may write a short biography and also mention the name of the website that you own hence getting more promotion. To follow up on how well your article is doing or to see if anyone is using your article on their website simply copy the name of the article into the Google search toolbar, insert within quotation marks and search. A result page should come up showing the number of sites that are publishing your article.
