Boost Your Website Traffic by Changing Your Online Marketing Attitude

When most business marketers decide to create a plan to boost their website traffic, they think in terms of fulfilling their own online marketing needs.

What will "I" get out of this? How can "I" boost my web traffic? What can "I" do to increase online sales?

Let's face it, you are in business to make money, but as crazy as it sounds, this is the wrong approach to driving web traffic. The questions above should be geared toward fulfilling your users' needs, not your own. The object of the game is to attract users; you need to appeal to their likes and interests. So, how you do it? You just need to change your online marketing attitude so that you serve your audience's needs rather than your own.

Here are five easy steps to changing your online marketing attitude...and ultimately increasing your website traffic:

Step 1: Know your audience. As elementary as this sounds, you need to put yourself in their shoes. How can your product or service solve their problems? What's in it for them? They really don't care about how wonderful your company, product, or service is...they care about what it can do for them. Don't think about yourself; think about your audience.

Step 2: Research the relevant keywords. Determine what keyword terms your users would search for to find your product or service. Stay away from industry-terms that may be beyond the scope of their knowledge. What is common knowledge to you, may not be to your audience; especially in the early stages of their product search.

Step 3: Dump the corporate-speak. Talk to your audience using conversational language. Don't sound too corporate or stuffy. Speak as if you were face to face trying to sell them. Use the words, "you" or "yours". Talk to them, not above them.

Step 4: Give them something to come back for. A great way to find favor with search engines, especially Google, is to give your audience loads of helpful information. Post articles that are of interest to your users on relevant subjects. Building an article repository of sorts will keep them coming back. They will want to check back to see what you've got in store for them. The more useful information the site posts, the more Google and other search engines take notice. It looks as though the site is a resource for the users...and Google likes that. Learn more about this by reading Google's Search Engine Optimization Starter Guide.

Step 5: Establish and keep an ongoing relationship with your users. Now you've got them, you've kept them coming back for more useful information...it's time to build an ongoing relationship with them. You need to build trust so that eventually they will purchase your product or service. Give them a "special offer" such as a "free" report, e-book, or anything to capture their email address in return. Once they agree to opt-in to your email list, you will have the opportunity to keep in touch with them. Send them useful information and every once in a while...a little sales message. Don't always bombard them with sales messages. Eventually you will gain their trust and they will buy.

It doesn't take much, just a little online marketing attitude adjustment and you will be on your way to boosting your online web traffic, establishing ongoing relationships with your users...and converting that web traffic to sales.

Driving Traffic to Your Website Using Articles

Articles, if done effectively and correctly, are a very powerful means of driving traffic to your website or blog. Traffic is a very important component of any successful website today. You can simply write an article related to the product or services that your website will be promoting and submit it to a few main article hosting sites such as Ezine Articles or Go Articles. These sites have huge viewership and if your article is good and stays within their stipulated guidelines then it will be published on their high traffic page. This is certainly a very good way to get promotion and yes you guessed it, it's free of cost in most cases. Be sure to include a link to your website on your article so that whoever reads or decides to use your article on their website knows the original owner of the article and gives you credit for it. Before long, once approved your articles possibly may show up in Google top searches giving your website a lot of promotion.

If you are reading this article right now it probably is because I have been successful in getting it highly ranked on Google or some other major search engines. So this is like a journal in that I am doing and learning as I am teaching. Many of you will probably get interested and visit the link posted on my article to learn more. You will probably, just as I did, purchase an e book relevant to what you want to learn. That is exactly how it works, and that is partly how you get traffic to your website using articles.

You don't have to be a professional to write articles. As long as it is informative and you chose your key words carefully for search engine optimization then it should be OK. Obviously it helps when you are writing on a topic that you are either very knowledgeable about or have a very keen interest in. There is a vast amount of information available online so it is not very difficult to research the area you are writing about if you want additional information.

Finally, make good use of the Author resource box as this is where you introduce yourself to the world. You may write a short biography and also mention the name of the website that you own hence getting more promotion. To follow up on how well your article is doing or to see if anyone is using your article on their website simply copy the name of the article into the Google search toolbar, insert within quotation marks and search. A result page should come up showing the number of sites that are publishing your article.

Twitter is a social network, much in the same way as other sites such as Myspace and Facebook. However, there is a difference. Whereas the other social networks feature a broad range of services and activities, Twitter is really all about simple message posts (called tweets). In a nutshell, users of this service post micro blogs about themselves and their interests. It's really akin to text messaging on a bigger scale.

While the idea is simple enough, Twitter has nevertheless taken the internet by storm. As it was mentioned earlier, there are over 4 million users using this network. As a business or website owner, think about this number as potential visitors for you. This social network is viral in nature. It is very common for a message of interest to spread quickly throughout the network. As followers (what friends are called) pick up on message threads, these are passed on from one follower to another.

The Twitter Wave and Your Business

As a business owner, this amounts to free advertising. What's even better, the nature of this advertising has the potential to reach literally thousands of people in geographical locations across the globe. There is no other means for business and website owners to garner this type of exposure without investing a great deal of money in expensive advertising.

For the business owner, the only real investment necessary is time and effort. To be successful, you will have to be a regular Twitter participant. This means that you will have to establish a following of your own by posting messages and responding to those of others. As your following grows, you will find that the traffic to your website or place of business does as well. With all this in mind, if you haven't started twittering, you might want to get started.

How To Find A Money Making Niche

Most people (including me) step into a niche and after blogging for more than 6 months they look for keywords in their niche. Eventually they end up with really sucky keywords which would hardly make them any money. So I’ll put this the other way round. How about finding awesome money making keywords first and then choosing your niche, makes more sense right?

It doesn’t matter whether you’re planning to make a niche site or a personal blog. But you should have some base that will ensure you sound money through out the period your website lives. However, the biggest mistakes that noobs make is that they choose keywords which either have no traffic, extremely high competition from big websites or have next to no money making perspectives.

So basically, this is where the right keywords come into play. Moreover, when you’re creating mutiple blogs or websites, you need good topics or shall I say any topic which gets traffic. Below is a step by step guide on how to find the big money makers niches easily.

Open the Keywords Tool

If you’re still unsure of which keyword tool to use, then it is obvious that you need to use the Google Adwords Keyword Tool which was mentioned earlier on my article on seo tools. Anyways, here is the link again and bookmark it because you’ll always need this one.

Enter Your Preferred Keywords

This is in a case where you already have some background in your mind about the niche and you want to check whether the idea is worth it or not. Just enter your preferred keywords (1 in each line) and hit ‘Get Keywords’ and you’ll get the idea of the monthly searches for each one of them. The screen shot below will help you better understand the process of finding niche keyword that will help you make money on the internet:

Money Making Keywords

Finding A Niche

Well this is the golden bite here because this is how you’ll find random keywords which have a lot of traffic and great potential for making money. Unfortunately, you’ll have to go back to the Google Adwords Keywords Tool and this time you’ll select the radio button which says: ‘Website Content’ instead of the default: ‘Descriptive words or phrases’. Now this is the most important step, enter the web address of a website which has content changing frequently. I usually choose Ezine Articles or Yahoo! for this purpose. After you hit the ‘Get Keyword ideas’ button, random keywords will be selected from the page and they will be used individually to find similar keywords or synonyms.

So, basically you’ll go through the keyword and you’ll look for keywords which have good traffic. You’ll mostly find rather unusual keywords here, so pick any keywords you think will suit you, but don’t be dumb enough to pick a very short one like cell phone (In general), look for high trafficked long tail keywords. This process is further explained by the screen shot below:

Money Making Keywords

Finding The Keywords That Help Make Money

Both methods above tell you how you can find niche keywords which are highly trafficked, but now comes the important part: Which keywords will make you the most money? While you might be thinking that the ones with the biggest search volume will be the most profitable, I don’t think that way.

My own theory is that since all keywords don’t have the same CPC (Cost per click) on Google, it can be used to determine the paying potential of the individual keywords. You look a little confused but there isn’t much to understand. Just learn how to do it and trust me it always works out the best. So on the drop-down box, select ‘Show Estimated Avg. CPC’. Once it comes out, just open an excel file.

Suppose you have selected 15 keywords and you want to choose the best 3 out of them. Here is what you do: Enter the names of the keywords in the first column, enter their Global Monthly Search volume in the second column and enter their ‘Estimated Avg. CPC’ in the third column. Now, for every row, multiply the value in the second column (Global Monthly Search volume) with the value in the third row (Estimated Avg. CPC) and put the corresponding answers into 4th column of the respective row.

That’s it, the ones with the highest values are the money making keywords you were looking for. Choose the top 3, and leave out the rest less important ones. That all explains how exactly you’ll find your money making niche and it’s corresponding keywords which will help you make the most money. This technique will help you in finding your niche which will make you a lot more money comparatively, I will also write an article telling why I asked you to mutiply the 2 values and then use the product to assess the keyword. Do share your experiences or thoughts with this technique.

How To Make Money By Blog Commenting

While many of you will be surprised after reading this, but there are many people who are making money by blog commenting. If you want to learn how to make money by blog commenting, then please read forward. Well the basic logic behind it is: Webmasters and Bloggers pay people for commenting on blogs to get them traffic and/or backlinks. You must be knowing about the dofollow commenting craze. Well getting a few of those dofollow comments to people would actually pay you off.

A better way of making money by blog commenting would be to break it up into smaller tasks and doing the work systematically. Basically we need to do three things:
1) Make up a big list of dofollow blogs (at least 100)
2) Find your market
3) Create smooth functionality and Make Money

Make up a big list of dofollow blogs

First of all you need to gather as many dofollow blogs as possible. You can check the list of dofollow blogs and get almost all of the dofollow blogs out there. To avoid problems in the future you can check out the blogs to see if there are any blogs which are not supporting do-follow anymore so that you don't waste time at a later time and modify it the way you want. Now save them and make sure they are accessible to you whenever you want.

Find you Market

I will usually recommend Digitalpoint or Sitepoint for this purpose, although any webmaster forum would work well. It is advisable to keep your eyes open for customers on at least 10-15 forums because diversifying will increase your target customers. Next, you can also send general emails to webmasters whom you think might be interested in your service, this will usually get you some positive replies for people interested in your services.

Create smooth functionality and Make Money

One thing that will be quite clear is that you will not make a lot of money with individual comments and hence you'll need to make your work very smooth in order to make some real money by commenting. That is, you'll sell comments in multiples of 5 and 10 like 10, 15, 20. You might fix your rates on something like this:

-$6 per 5 dofollow comments.
-Get 5 free do-follow comments if order is more than 50 comments.
-Get 15 free comment if order is more than 100 comments.

That deal is fair enough and you can easily attract quite a lot of webmasters. Usually one comment should not take longer than 3 minutes to write, so let's have a break-down of potential earnings considering we get an order of about 50 comments a day:

-Money earned -> $6x10 = $60.
-Time taken -> 3x50 = 2 hours 30 minutes.
-Pay rate -> $24 per hour.

Not bad eh? Also note that comments can be written in less than 2 minutes and your orders will only increase with time hence making you even more money. The potential is in front of you, and it can be adapted to make some easy money which does not involve too much time. But, you will never make any money is your primary commenting service contains even a small part of spam, be human and your service will become more commendable and you will get more orders! More articles on this topic will be posted in the future, so stick around.

Three Tips for Profiting with PLR Products

PLR products offer a great way for people to quickly and easily make money online. They often come as a package complete with sales letters and images. Upon acquiring PLR products, it would then be up to you to determine how best you can make money out of them. Below are a few tips you could use to ensure massive profits with PLR products.

1) Sell Them as They Are

Because most PLR products are already packaged with sales letters and images, you can effortlessly make money online out of them by selling them they way you purchased them. All you would need to do is publish all available materials on your website and you can begin selling.

2) Use Them as Incentives

Offering PLR products for free is a great way to increase the value of another product you have on offer. This works especially well with membership sites where people are more likely to sign up if there are bonuses involved. Before you do this, make sure that you have the right to do so by reading through the terms provided by the publisher you purchased the products from. As long as you have master resell rights over the products, you can essentially do whatever you want with them. That means you can give them away for free in order to augment the sales of your own online business.

3) Create Your Own Package

Among the very best ways to make massive profits with PLR products is to collect a good number of related products and sell them as a package. This will allow you to charge a higher price and make much more money compared to what you can gain if you sold them individually.

These are just three of the most popular ways to quickly and easily make money online using PLR products. PLR products can be used in many more ways to make money online and it is up to you to determine what will work best for your online business.
